Alessandra Ambrosio

Alessandra Ambrosio was born on April 11, 1981 in Erexim, Brazil. She is a famous Brazilian supermodel. She modeling career started when she decided to take modeling lessons in Brazil. The course led to her participation in Elite's Look of the Year contest in 1996, which eventually led to her contract with Elite Model Management. Alessandra Ambrosio was part of the deluge of Brazilian models that emerged after Gisele Bindchen opened the floodgates. One of the star models of that group, of which fellow Victoria's Secret/Guess? Model (and best friend) Ana Beatriz Barros is a member, the 5'10", light brown-haired Ambrosio accumulated quite a career in the late 1990's into the next century. Ambrosio was born in Erechim, Brazil, a small town in the south. As an early teen, she enrolled in a modeling class and subsequently was entered in the Elite modeling agency's 1996 Look of the Year competition. Though she did not win, she was offered an Elite contract one year after. Her first modeling job was the cover of the Brazilian Marie Claire, and Ambrosio followed with other editorial work, but it was not long after that the Marcianos at Guess signed Ambrosio for their fall Millennium campaign in 2000. Her lucrative print career began with being a Guess? Girl and continued with deals with Revlon and Victoria's Secret. Ambrosio walked the VS runway for the first time in 2000 and continued to be a fixture in subsequent shows. Ambrosio was also picked to be the spokesmodel for the 2004 Pink line by Victoria's Secret.

Mary-Louise Parker

Southern-bred Mary-Louise Parker, from Fort Jackson, South Carolina, was born on August 2, 1964, the youngest of the family's brood. She showed potential in her teens and majored in acting in her college years, graduating from the North Carolina School of the Arts. She decided to test the waters in New York, and after work on the off-Broadway stage in the late 1980s, made her Broadway debut with "Prelude to a Kiss" in 1990, where she won the Theatre World Award, the Clarence Derwent Award and a Tony nomination. Films and TV quickly followed. She provided both poignant and amusing moments as the token femme friend to a group of gay men in the AIDS drama Longtime Companion (1989), but really caught fire with her feisty, standout performance in Fried Green Tomatoes (1991), holding her own against such female powerhouses as Jessica Tandy, Kathy Bates and Mary Stuart Masterson. Dubbed by some as the "long-suffering girl next door", she played such noble miserables and cast-asides in Grand Canyon (1991), Naked in New York (1993), Bullets Over Broadway (1994), Boys on the Side (1995), in which she was the AIDS victim this time, and Let the Devil Wear Black (1999). Preferring quality over quantity, she perfected her craft with offbeat roles in independent features and did not abandon her theater roots. She copped a slew of acting prizes for her stage work in "How I Learned to Drive" (1996) and, most notably, "Proof" in 2000, wherein she won nearly every award there is to attain, including the prestigious Tony. Her marquee name still does not command what it should, but a picture or production with Mary-Louise Parker in it usually guarantees a strong critical reception. Unmarried, she did enter into a longtime companionship with actor Billy Crudup after the twosome appeared opposite each other in the 1996 play "Bus Stop". They went their separate ways in 2003.

Scarlett Johansson

She divides her time between New York with her father, a building contractor and Los Angeles with her mother, who looks out for her interests there. She's the only actor in the family, something she's wanted to be since she was three. Her acting career began when she was eight in the off-Broadway production of Sophistry with Ethan Hawke at New York's Playwrights Horizons. Scarlett has been in seven movies, the first was North. For her role as Manny in Manny & Lo she was nominated as Best Actress by the Independent Spirit Awards (1997). She attained worldwide recognition for her performance as Grace MacLean, the teen traumatized in a riding accident in Robert Redford's hit feature The Horse Whisperer, a role for which she won a YoungStar award and was nominated for a Blockbuster Entertainment Award. She has most recently been spotlighted for her performances in the acclaimed films Ghost World, An American Rhapsody and the Coen Brothers film The Man Who Wasn't There. Rei Amami

Rei Amami was born on March 28, 1984 in Shizuoka, Japan. This idol debuted in 2005 and appears to have been active through early 2008. She started out doing nude modeling before doing movies and appeared in at least 8 movies (at least 5 of which actually appear to be VHS and not DVDs). One thing that stands out about her from early on in her career is her very youthful (and cute) appearance, plus she looked like Hana Haruna when she was younger. Also has, perhaps not surprisingly, very big breasts for her listed measurement (31 1/2″ but she looks like at least a 33 1/2″). Has a very interesting and rather unusual special skill for a porn star-oceanography. If nothing else that’s a possible career she could fall back on or perhaps have moved on to! Hobbies are conversing in English and handcraft. Her smiling face is her charm point-quite the charm indeed.

Diane Kruger

Diane Kruger was born Diane Heidkrueger in Algermissen, near Hildesheim, Germany, on July 15, 1976, and raised there with her younger brother, Stefan. As a child, Diane wanted to become a ballerina, so she traveled to London where she studied with the Royal Ballet. Unfortunately, an injury ruined her career before it could really begin, and Diane turned to modeling instead. In 1992, Diane was a finalist in Elite's Look of the Year competition, at the age of 15. Returning to her native Germany, Diane became a successful model there and in Paris, in the mid-1990s. But since a fashion career is short-lived even for the best of models, Diane was wisely planning to make a change. Kruger decided to pursue acting. At the suggestion of celebrated French director Luc Besson (The Fifth Element), Diane relocated to Paris for good. She even married a French actor and director, Guillaume Canet (who butted heads with Leonardo DiCaprio in The Beach), in September 2001.
